Mbira Dziva is the result of two lifelong musicians whose love for the mbira music of Zimbabwe brought them together over 20 years ago.
This album is an intimate portrait of the expansive and fractal-like nature of mbira music as experienced by the musicians.

"Dziva" (noun) - A pool of water. May be small or as large as the ocean, and can often be considered sacred; A place that holds water even after the river has run dry; A totem meaning "those of the water". (Language: ChiShona / Origin: Zimbabwe)

Proceeds of this album will support clean drinking water in Zimbabwe.
